Florida Department of Education has dedicated his week to celebrating literacy in public schools throughout the state. At North Elementary School, we celebrate literacy by emphasizing the importance of reading; throughout the week, teachers will read to their class and do activities that support literacy and the theme: “Spreading Literacy, One View at a Time.” Teachers have also invited various guest readers from our community to read to their classrooms. On Thursday, we will hold a parents’ informational session to introduce the early literacy program Footsteps2Brilliance, and families can sign up to receive their public library cards! 2nd grade students will be performing a Readers Theater. Please join us in promoting literacy!
Let’s make this a great week!
